Job Description: This role serves as part of the Management team of the Staten Island Performing Provider System and oversees the daily finance department functions, including supervising a financial analyst. This position reports to the Executive Director and on a regular basis reports on the financial functioning of the group to various committees associated with the Staten Island PPS. This position assists our healthcare partners meet the goals of DSRIP and the transition of their practices from fee for service to value based payment systems. The incumbent will be viewed as a Value Based Payment resource, advisor to internal PPS staff and external partners/stakeholders in the development of a transitional model to implement Value Based Payment.
At least two years controller experience in a financial leadership role in healthcare
CPA and MBA with strong accounting experience/knowledge strongly preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of staff within an organization and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to monitor and implement automated and non-automated financial/accounting systems
