Preventative Health (Well Visits)

Regular checkups, also called well visits, can help you and your family stay healthy. When you visit your primary care provider (PCP), they know what screenings and support services you need. Find resources on how to see a PCP with Medicaid or no insurance.

Healthy Eating Habits

Healthy eating habits, or Nutrition, is important to your health. Here are programs and initiatives sponsored by the Staten Island PPS or one of our partners.


Diabetes is a serious health problem. It affects both adults and children across our community. Learn what you can do to stay healthy or how to better self-manage your diabetes.


Asthma is a chronic illness which means it comes and goes over time. It can affect children and adults and can start and end at any point in someone’s life. Asthma is more common in certain areas on Staten Island. We’ve put together the best resources and programs to help you manage your asthma.
